165

UPDATE: 6/4/14

I got my lab work back and my hormone levels were through the roof, 196 which is close to pregnancy levels. A normal person's is 60-80 at the most. So I got off of the hormones last Tuesday. That day, while at the doctor they weighed me and I weighed 169! Yep, 169. But yesterday when I went back to see him for the follow up I only weighed 165 on that same scale at the same time of day. Just from being off the hormones for 6 days, I had lost 4 lbs.

My lab work did show that I had some insulin resistance, which on top of the hormone imbalance, explains the weight gain. But I've been working out every day now for three weeks and even though I have not really lost weight yet, I am hopefully this exercising will result in being healthier all around from my moods, hot flashes and I believe it will take care of the insulin resistance.

My hair already feels better, and my skin is not as dry and I'm not as water bloated as I was. I know it's no secret that working out makes you feel better, but I have to say it, I feel great. Other then stressing my knee the other day when I did my squats with weights two days in a row, I've loved this new way of living. It's a priority to me now to get healthy.

Better late than never right?

I would like to weigh 145 by my birthday, August 10th, that is my goal.

You can follow my progress on http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/caroleturner I track my food, exercise and weight on there.

That's how much I weigh, 165 lbs.

This time last year I weighed 155lbs, which I hated, I felt then I was too fat.

I like to weigh 145lbs.

Two weeks ago I started walking 2 miles every night and doing at least 30 minutes of weights & stomach exercises a night.

I weighed 165lbs when I started doing that.

I've lost no weight at all.

I tried several quick weight loss products, did each for at least a month and none of them worked.

I eat between 1200-1400 calories a day. I keep track of them on MyfitnesPal and it also tracks nutrition. 90% of the time I am in the proper range with my carbs, proteins and fats.

I drink water and also tea or coffee with only a little bit of Truvia. I also drink 1-2 glasses of wine a night but I don't drink cokes, energy drinks, nothing like that.

We eat whole wheat bread and pasta and brown rice.

Easter 2014. Me at 165. I have on a spanx, the print on the dress helps, and you can't see my stomach at this angle.

I have a "no french fries" rule but if I'm craving some I will have a couple of the kids when they get them.

I'm thinking about ordering some Advocare from my youngest half sister Chelsie, she's a body builder and she sells it, says it works great.

I'm also going back to my lady doctor tomorrow, he put me on hormones 4 months ago and they have worked great for my moods and hot flashes but they are also part of the reason I've gained so much weight. Not sure if there's anything he can do, but I'm going to find out.

Oh and yes, they have checked my thyroid, last time I went, all levels were normal.

I'm enjoying working out and walking every night but if anyone reading this has some tips, exercises, whatever, please tell me.

I don't do no-carbs though, that makes me too shaky and week feeling. I try to stay under 75-100 carbs a day already.

I want to weigh 145, that's the weight I like, I don't like 165.
