Current Life Soundtrack 2

Headphones are covering my ears, itunes is on shuffle, let's play Current Life Soundtrack.

(in case you don't know the rules, here they are; a song comes on, you write a little something about the song, include the lyrics, you can skip songs but not too many. Try it sometime, it's a fun creative writing exercise)

Here we go. First up,

If I Ever Get Around to Living by John Mayer, "If I ever get around to living, I'm gonna put my things away, in the drawers and in the closets and there I'll stay."

Stay LIVING. That's good stuff John. Your voice is butter and I love it. I'm glad you went through your live in Montana-contemplate life-write it down-breath the fresh air, season. You seem better for it.

"Freeeeeee, freeeee"

Now Stop and Stare by One Republic's time to make our move, I'm shaking off the dust...steady hands just take the wheel...time to make one last appeal for the life I lead... I become what I can't be."

Dang skippy! Amen and Amen!

That'll preach right there.

I swear, Applause by Lady Gaga just came on! God help me, knock me on my A$$ when I live for the applause (and he does).

It is a catchy tune but I always feel like she's trying to be Madonna, Bowie and Elton John all at one time. Maybe that's why she lives for the applause.

Oh wow, YES!! Summer Time Sadness by Lana Del Rey "kiss me hard before you go, Summer time Sadness, I just wanted you to know that your the best.." sing that soulful gangsta Nancy Sinatra.

She's my favorite right now, Lana is so original, so fresh, squeaky one minute, groaning from deep inside the next.

I'm gonna put on Ride...

I know I'm breaking the rules of this game, but since I created it, I can do that right?

Don’t break me down, I been traveling too long
I been trying too hard, with one pretty song

I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone at midnight

My favorite lyrics in this song are,

I've been trying hard not to get into trouble but I got a war in my mind.

Only now, there is no war in my mind. I'm at peace. But I remember, I remember. Thanks Lana.

Ok back to abiding by the rules. What random song will come on next?

It's Hell is For Children by Pat Benatar. Wow, this song takes me back to high school. At the time I didn't get it. It was so dark and heavy for my idol Pat to be singing. I was like, "does she think kids belong in hell?' Now I get it.

And you know that there little lives can be such a a good little boy and you'll get a new toy, tell grandma you fell off the swing" When she screams, HELL HELL IS FOR HELL HELL IS FOR HELL HELL IS FOR CHILDREN it's so intense, like you feel the anger."

What's Your Favorite Color? By Living Color blast me now.
Gosh, Vivid was a great album. This always takes me back to living in Houston, early 90's, Ammye and I cruising around in the Jetta and her TRYING to say cuss words but they just sounded so wrong.

Ha! Wobble by VIC is on.

"All the shorty's in the club let me see you just.." I love to dance. Life is a dance (no Garth isn't even on my itunes) and I agree VIC, we gotta just,  "GET IN THERE!!"

Thanks for that life lesson, fun nasty line dance song!
