On June 11th, Trafficking Hope will be hosting the “Faces of Hope” Gala and Silent Auction to raise money for a Hope House in the Baton Rouge area. This home will provide safe housing and rehabilitative services for victims of human trafficking.
The Department of Health and Human Services reports that the best way to help trafficking victims get out of the hands of their predators is to provide safe and secure housing in addition to rehabilitative services. Your partnership and participation will enable us to do just that through the building and sustaining of our Hope House.
We invite you to join us for a night of education and fun while enjoying local food, drinks, live music, and a silent auction with tens of thousands of dollars' worth of fantastic items! In addition to the festivities, we will be screening the documentary "Playground", a film on human trafficking and the child sex trade in America as well as hearing from human trafficking survivor, Theresa Flores. We will also be releasing our first novel in a series entitled, "Caged" by Molly Venzke and providing you the opportunity to get further educated on the issue of human trafficking from other local and international anti-trafficking organizations.
Tickets can be purchased at www.manshiptheatre.org, by phone at 225.344.0334, or at the ticket desk of Shaw Center for the Arts at 100 Lafayette Street.
We hope you will join us for this important event!
