Nuggets from The Day After the Election

I walked into a meeting this morning and they told me it was a Vitter-vention. I've heard a lot of Vitter jabs today, all in fun, and I am laughing.

I prayed for God to help me not get my feathers ruffled today because I knew I would hear stuff like "Why did you get your feathers so ruffled about that anyway?" A person who likes to push my buttons, did ask me that, I refrained...Kinda.

I think this is actually good though. Obama should not have come out of the gate with sweeping Health Care reform, it was too much too fast and as an unemployed person, let me tell you, most people were voting pocket book no matter how spiritual they talk. Who ever is in power when the economy is crap, is who will get the boot. That's just how it is.

I read a tweet last night that said "nothing worse then a sore loser" after Charlie Melancon's concession speech. He was honest and sadly, your considered a sore loser if your honest in politics. That's why I'm not in politics. I would have said "that guy should be in jail not reelected, I'm sad, disappointed and I'm gonna need some time to be OK with this".

I'm gonna quote a sign I saw on Jesus Needs New PR's site, it read "Ain't no party like a Mr. T party" I thought that was funny. The Tea party movement will be the death of the Republican party. You can quote me on that.

An observation I've made recently is that when fear is the predominant theme of elections, Republicans win, the religious right wins. When it's change, hope, courage, Democrats win, the evil left wins. I know, I shouldn't point that out, but it's true. Think about it. That is why I am no longer associating my self with the Republican party. (Nor the Democratic party, which I've never been a member of. I am an Independent) The left has high jacked Jesus' stance on everything, but they can't deliver. He is Hope, Change and Courage, and the right gave it to them so they could spend all their time and energy holding on tightly to fear as their weapon of choice. That's whacked. It works to win elections in this fallen messed up world, but it's still whacked.

Philippians 3:20 "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ"
