Every day since July I have looked at my E-mail in box, wanting there to be an e-mail from our Adoption agency saying that we had a court date. From A's papers being stolen to the rainy season, there were delays. I remember pastor Dino's sermon where he said point blank, "some of you are just in a time of delay" I knew that was us. So we waited and waited and until today every time I saw a new e-mail in my in box, especially from our agency, I hoped...

Proverbs 13:12 reads "hope deferred makes the heart sick.." my heart was definitely sick but we never stopped hoping.

A month or so ago I had pledged to fast for the Orphans on Mondays. I had been failing miserably. today was better. I had a brief thought this morning, like so many other mornings, "Maybe today we will get our court date", we pray for it daily. Then this afternoon as I sat down to take a break from cleaning and moving furniture, I grabbed my phone to check my e-mail..there were 5 e-mails in my in box and the first one was from our agency..I clicked, saw the news that we had a court date for October 27th...and I cried. Getting a court date opened the flood gate.

Dean kissed my head when he saw me crying. He is just as relieved as I am. We are all so thankful for this good news. I feel like I crossed another mountain, and only now can see how hard it was. I know it's far from over, we wont travel until 6 to 8 weeks after the court date IF we make it through court the first time. (Please pray that we do). It's so true that God doesn't give us more then we can handle. Now I can face the next sprint of this race to get A home.

One day all this will be part of the story..a great God glorifying story.

The rest of that scripture reads "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Proverbs13:12
