New years weekend-too many late nights...

"I'm old Gandalf, I know I don't look it but I feel thin, like butter scraped over too much bread."

Oh wait, I'm hallucinating, that's what happens when you don't get your 10 hours of needed sleep a night, the mind can't help but quote Bilbo.

Despite the lack of sleep, we Turners have had a fun, eventful past few days.

We went over to Karen's mom's house and watched Football. Yea, it was torture for me BUT I brought my Christianity Today Magazine so I was good. Plus there is always great food and conversation.

Here's a picture of the we ones, Isabelle Harvey, E, Honey harvey and Dalton Jones, Cousins and friends hanging out.

And this is Micah, Andrew and Steele. Micah is Karen's sister Candi's son. Sunday afternoon he decided to fall out of a deer stand! It made for a very miraculous weekend because he fell from 25 feet up and survived! He spent Sunday night in the PICU but was moved to a regular room yesterday. He has a collapsed Lung, bruised lung, Kidney, and bladder, a dislocated shoulder and a concussion! But he is eating and peeing like normal so he will be fine. He came home today! Praise God!

But Friday night everyone was physically intact and we had a great visit.

I got to bed around midnight.

We went to the Ohlerkings Saturday night for some Mexican food and a little PS3 Rock Band.

This is E, Vaughn Ohlerking (Dan's brother Josh's son) and Lincoln O. rockin out!

Of course Evangeline baked a cake for the evening, her first cake from scratch. It looks really bad but it tasted really good.

The coolness that is Tori Ohlerking sitting with Dan, who couldn't contain the Rock and Roll fingers.

We had a blast and I got to bed around midnight.

Church, nap and then back to Karen's moms house and around 4pm was when Micah fell out of the deer stand. We spent the evening waiting on news and again, watching football. Only, I did get to go over to Kay lynn's house (karen's sister, she lives behind Karen's mom) and watch country music video's with her and This time I had my Barbarian Way book with me.

I got to bed around 1:30am!!

New Years Eve, Back to Karen's for even more watching of football, some fireworks and some poker.

No, I don't do any of the above, I sit and read, and yea, we talk and talk and talk.

See this sweet little grandma with the white hair? She will eat your lunch in poker! And cook up some killer brownies for you.

The boys, Bradley and Evan, have to wear the shades cuz' she can read them like a book.

But this night she didn't win the table....

No, that's Dean, waiting on his only remaining opponent to make her call, Isabelle Harvey (she's consulting with her dad in this picture and E is just amazed at the amount of chips Isabelle has).

Isabelle is 8 yrs old....

Isabelle won! Grandma was proud.

I got to bed at 1:30am AGAIN!!!

Good times.

Good Grief, Carole!!
For someone who's usually in bed by 9:30... I'm impressed!
I would brag and say that I was up till 1 am every night this weekend, but really, that's nothing new.
