Your right, you can't do it..
So let's just agree on that.
Good thing it's not up to you huh?
HE has more money then you need. He loves to do the impossible, "And he said, the things which are impossible with men are possible with God" (Luke 18:27). and all He needs from you is a step toward what He's calling you to do.
Oh, and if you ever do try to do it on your own, you will let fear stop you, doubt stop you, what people say stop you. But if you keep going back to Him, He will meet you there, and then the peace sets in. You know it, you have walked in it at other times, it will always be there when you really want to do His will. Even when you mess up, He never gets tired of "I'm sorry, please forgive me", He will.
There was no way that Dean and I, with horrible spending habits, much debt and not much income, could afford to Adopt. In the natural it was all very impossible, both times. But God did it. He provided the money just as it was needed. Not before, so we could rely on what WE had. We had to rely on what we KNEW HE HAD.
AND while He was at it he worked on the spending habits, the paying of debt and the income. ONLY because we chose to follow Him.
Flesh said "look at you. You bounce checks, you don't pay your bills on time, you don't make enough money. You can't help Orphans! You can't even take care of yourself" and God says "yea, but if they lean on me I can work that all out in them and what you say can't be, will be. And they will deny you flesh. They will change."
We are so far from done,God has brought us far but there is far to go. So much flesh left to deny. It's just the beginning.
When you are faithful over a little, God makes your ruler over much. Which equals more work.
And we would have it no other way because that is where the peace is. There is no life outside of His will. You may survive, get to the end safe, but you won't live until you risk it all for Him, the one who gave you life in the first place.
So yea, your right to doubt yourself, but trust Him.
We can't but He can.
All for His Glory.
1 Timothy 6:17
17Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
1 Peter 4:11
11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
