My young Hero

Evangeline was nominated for a Young Heroes award. She is one of the finalist, the 8 winners will be announced on Friday, March 6th at 6:55pm and 7:00pm on LPB1, LPB2, and WLAE1.

Even if she doesn't win I am so blessed to have a daughter that loves to help people. Who jumps out of bed every Thursday morning at 4:30am to go cook for homeless people. Who serves them food and seeks them out at camps on the river, under over overpasses, abandoned houses and the city park to give them food, hygiene items, clothes and prayer. Many of these homeless people now attend church at the Baton Rouge Dream Center thanks to the love shown to them by people like my little Cook _e.

You are a Hero to us.

I am so proud of my beautiful grandaughter. This is what happens when you are raised from the time you were born to serve the poor and hungry. Congratulations Evangeline. GrandPa and GrandMa are so proud of you. God had such a vision for our girl who was a miracle to be born in the first place. Can't wait to see y'all!
