Wild Goose Chase-My Review

"Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit-An Geadh-Glas, or 'the Wild Goose.' The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed, and element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him." Mark Batterson

There are so many people I want to give this book too. It was a perfect read for me. Our family is up and running after the Wild Goose but sometime fear, doubt, failure, they all try to trip us up and leave us lying in pieces on the road. This book really encouraged me, gave me what I needed at just the perfect time. I will refer to it like I do Barbarian Way and In a Pit With a Lion (Mark Batterson's other book).

My favorite phrase is "Irresponsible responsibility" May I never let irresponsible responsibility keep me from Chasing the Wild Goose.

If your goal in life is to make it to the end safely, read this book and it will change your mind. If you have taken the leap and jumped up running after the dreams God gave you, read this book and you will feel encouraged in your efforts. If you aren't sure why or what this Christian life should look like, read this book and then you will learn that this life is an amazing adventure, to be lived not making it safely to the end but getting to the end having truly lived as God intended.
