Watching A

Full, my heart bursting, shaking, my mind is whirling; we just watched a video of Al, him getting the photo album we made for him. It's surreal, I feel overwhelmed with wanting him here.

He looks GREAT. So cute, healthy, and well taken care of. I swear there is not an ugly person in Ethiopia, they have to be the most beautiful people I have ever seen.

We are in the midst of Medical Exams, our home study waiting on police clearances, then when we get that Hard copy of the home study in our hands it's onto the I600A, Immigration form, that's the real time consumer right there. It can take 4 weeks to 4 months to get back. PLEASE pray it's 4 weeks.

I am trying, really trying not to freak out. I am sucking down scripture and worship tunes like crazy, I so need that extra portion right now. My commitment to my family here, the Dream Center and Elevate already consume so much time but now all this paper work and stuff sometimes just makes me crazy. The desperation for the quite time with God has pushed me to a deeper need for Him, really seeking His face about every step.

I still can not believe we get to do this. Evangeline and I watched the Video and she was just as overwhelmed with excitement to see her new brother. Steele was kind of excited but Disney Channel has a stronger call for a 3 yr old. Dean was at work but when I called him he was very anxious to see him. We are all preparing ourselves for this wonderful gift.

We know everything will change when he comes home but wow, are we so wanting that change, so ready to be his parents and grow our family. Steele said the other day, out of no where, "I want to adopt A, he's gonna be my big brother". It just seems so perfect, so what is supposed to happen.

I try to remember when I thought I couldn't adopt an older child, Dean too, we both felt that way at one time but now, I can't imagine any other child being our next child.
