Who is YOUR C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien?

It has become the destination for literary pilgrimages because of its reputation as the haunt of the Inklings from 1939 to 1962. The Inklings was a writers' group which included J. R. R. Tolkien (of Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fame) and C. S. Lewis . They met there every Monday or Friday before lunch, to drink and talk, usually in an area at the back of the pub, which was then a private sitting room and is now known as the Rabbit Room.

I want to go here one day. No other authors have influenced and shaped the way I think more then C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. Their writings awakened my mind and my heart. Their lives inspired me. I would love to visit the place where they gathered with other writers and shared the stories that would change the landscape of 20th century literature and on a personal level, propel me from a place of complacent existence to motivated, inspired and committed lover of God.

Who did this for you? Anyone you just would love to say "Thank you so much for just doing what you do! You rocked my world! You are my inspiration."? Is there anyone who the body of their lives work changed your life forever?

i would have to say Brennan Manning, Thomas Merton, and Shane Claiborne will soon be on that list. His book Irresitible Revolution turned my world upside down.
