I would have liked the song better with a LSU football highlight film.

I think this is the best promo for Benny Hinn there can be. Why go to a mosh pit or a rave when you can have fun like this?

I agree with Roy..LOL..I have several friends "who are pretty normal" that have attended one of his conferences and they both said that until you are in the bldging yourself and feel the strong presence of the HS, then don't judge. They both said it was very powerful.

Don't knock it till you've been there! I have been to several Benny Hinn Crusades and the power of God is tangible, very tangible. I in fact was one of those people, falling down. I was literally a "body hittin' the floor", and was very skeptical until I experienced the power of the Holy Spirit myself. I think this is a BAD representation of Benny Hinn, and the demonstration of the Holy Spirit. Things are not as they appear....like him looking like he is hitting and shoving people...the music Heightend that feeling! My kids have seen Benny Hinn on tv many times and have even gone to a crusade with me, and even they thought this was scary!! I know this was a joke but we have got to be careful of what we expose others to, with our name attached to it. How will others who don't know Jesus, and the true power of the Holy Spirit come away from this. Just a question?
I don't like Benny Hinn's tactics. I actually get nauseated when I see him on TV. I know many of my friends like him but I do not. That is just my opinion.
I felt this vidoe was scary yet appropriate because it is about Bodies hitting the floor which is exactly what is happening.

Carole, since you don't like him, I'd suggest you go to one of his crusades next time he's in town and be open to see him and the HS in a new and different light. I have never been to one of his crusades but I've talked to a few that have and according to them it's nothing like you see on TV. So like I said before, dont' judge a book by it's cover until you have actually read it.
I don't need to spend my time and money going to see Benny Hinn to get what I am supposed to from God. I feel with all my heart that God is with the poor, the needy not with the millionaire preacher who knocks you down to prove God is there. I know people Feel something when they are there and I know some people really fall down in the spirit but I do not feel this is a valuable use of my time or money. I can have that opinion.
Anonymous said…
Ok Carole you have your opinion and I have mine but I am sometimes afraid to post my opinions here b/c they don't always agree with yours. You asked my thoughts when you posted the video
You are welcome to post your opinion here. I don't have to agree and visa versa. I am just stating what I think just like you are. :-)

He came to our church to do a crusade back when we lived in MI. Brad picked him up from the airport while I stayed at church with all the fans. Sorry, but that was what it was like. People were pretty calm until Benny was in the building, then they all started "praising God", I guess to get a miracle. Brad and several of my friends were "handlers". Sorry, but most people got pushed. There were some who went down on their own, but I think they were so excited and "in" to the whole thing. Benny tried to "bless" the handlers by sending them down. They either went down quietly or got pushed really hard. It's a show. It's confusing, embarrassing, and I have no idea what good it is doing. People are desperately looking for miracles, and I think that is the draw. I've seen the cover, read the book, had pasta with him after the crusade at a late night buffet. He's a money guy. That's all.

I believe all the falling down is due to lack of oxygen from being so emotional you are breathing fast and then you sing those songs that take your breath away and bam, your on the floor having a spiritual experience. That's just my opinion. I also, believe you should follow what God is telling you to do, not me or anyone else. I do not believe in TV preachers. They are the Devils work, as my Mother use to say. LOVE MOM
I've been to healing services, I've also been the recipient of healings...Benny Hinn is a showman, raw Hollywood exposure! LOL I've read too many articles on him, seen too many interviews on him, and personally, I don't care for him because he uses people's hurting and pain to acquire monetary gain. The guy is filthy rich. Yeah, the song WOULD have been better with LSU footage...and I'm not even a football fan!!! Mimi Glenda

The main issue for me hasn't been Benny Hinn, it's the mockery of the Holy Spirit that has taken place in this video.I beleive there's a very fine line between humor and mockery. BUT when the Holy Spirit reveals to you what you are really doing, it's grevious to you and you start asking, LORD what do YOU think, and become very careful of your comments to and of others. Because we are accountable for every idle word we speak.. The bible does say how we judge others(whether we feel we have a right to or not) we will be judged by the same measure. I can say that, with conviction because I have walked that one out more times than I would have liked to:) .......it's not fun or full of dignity either.I have had to walk out judgments I have spoken of others in front of those I have judged! Think about it , what are we, individually, walking out now, that we judged someone else for the same thing 10 years ago? Bottom line , we need to know what the Word of God says about what we do, and say. I'm walking this out like everyone else! and have been more sensntive about it, since having to "walk the judgent plank" All I know is I don't want to stand before God one day, and HE ask me why I chose to support or criticize something that HE was part of whether I thought it was real or not. Only God knows the heart of Benny Hinn and Shawn Wilkerson, and everyone on the face of the earth. Aren't you thankful for that! I AM!!!!
Ok, Carole, I'm going to tell you what I honestly think:
There was a time when I might have laughed at this and there was certainly a time -- not so long ago -- that I would have shared in your disdain for this kind of "sensational evangelism." I have always been weary of such high-emotion evangelism questioning whether such shows produced "faith with roots" (staying power), but God has been working on my heart about this and I am in the process of developing a new attitude about such things.
In Luke 9:49-50, John tells Jesus: "Master, we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us." "Do not stop him," Jesus said, "for whoever is not against us is for us." In other words (in the paraphrased words of a very wise teacher I heard recently), just because we don't agree with the *methods* one might use, or just because they don't do it like we think it *ought* to be done, or just because their method does not appeal to us, does NOT necessarily make it WRONG.
As scripture states, a house divided against itself cannot stand. This Benny Hinn fellow cannot being doing these things in the name of Jesus and be *evil*. Even if I don't particularly like his style or agree with his methods, he is working for the kingdom of God and who am I to judge or limit him in any way? If even ONE soul is won to Christ because of him -- if even ONE body is healed because of faith achieved through one of his seminars -- who am I to judge or ridicule?
Those who are not against us, are FOR US. Just my .02, for what it's worth. Love, Summer Kelly =)
ok, Shawn, Summer, you are both my dear friends. I respect your opinions. I couldn't disagree more on several points but I respect how you feel.
I will only say that my interpretation of the scriptures concerning all this (judging and healing) are different then yours, maybe not so much my interpretation but how they apply here, to Benny Hinn.
Shawn, I don't think this is making fun of the moving of the Holy Spirit, I think something totally opposite.
So, we are not going to agree. I hope you gals are ok with that Cuz' I am. :-)

Your're right, Carole. I think everybody can disagree here, and it's ok.

This is the type of thing that makes christians look like fools. All I can tell you is how it made an unsaved friend of my feel. She said it confirmed her belief that all religion is a show and a form of brain washing. For the unsaved to see Jesus we christians have to live the life with love and kindness and let our light shine. Jesus said not to shout out your beliefs on the street corner but to go into your closet to pray and worship in spirit and truth. I take that to mean let people see Jesus in you. Love MOM

You must not feel that men like Benny Hinn or Rheinhardt Bonnke have yielded themselves to the Lord and HE can use them anyway He sees fit. You can't look at the messanger, you must look at the "message"......otherwise people DO get confussed. By the way these men's services are FREE! I say don't "knock it till you've tried it." Try the Spirit. I have known people to be HEALED at these things. It's according to your faith. It's not these men. They just do what God shows them to do. Sure some of it looks a bit showy but then do you not remember a man named Smith Wigglesworth who actually PUNCHED people in the stomach they were healed? Or another man.......who put mud on a blind man's eyes and he was healed. Oh yeah, that was Jesus, check out the bizarre way's he operated sometimes. Also.....check out these men's motive.....not the method.

Sorry, I do not believe Benny Hinn's shows are promoting God's cause. I'm sure God can use him to love people and feed the poor just like the rest of us.

It's so much easier to go to a service, meeting, conference or whatever we call it and get "touched" by God, than to get what we need on our knees through prayer, Bible study and quiet meditation. We don't want to have to plant a seed, work the soil, WAIT, harvest, as so on. We don't have time for all that. We want it NOW! The majority of the modern day church in America is shallow, and this generation wants everything easy, w/o work, pain, sacrifice, effort, toil, troulbes. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but even though we disagree are some issues, remeber it's not how high you junp (or how hard you hit the floor) but how straight you walk after that.

My spirit and heart are grieved for those of you who so harshly judge and feel it is your right! I pray for God to reveal the truth regarding how HIS ways are always higher than our ways and God does not need our permission or our agreement with His methods for Him to move through vessels of honor like this Man of God! I pray you will have a fresh revelation of God and see that God chooses the foolish things to confound the wise! Anything distorted the way this video is, looks terrible. The music that was intentionally chosen with a violent feel is a tool of our enemy. I know God ALWAYS uses what Satan meant for evil for good and I have no doubt He will do the same with this!

I also wanted to add, this video further explains why we have different styles of churches and worship. Not everyone is open to all God has! Some love the excitement of worship while others prefer the reverence of quiet praise. Just because we don't feel open to something doesn't mean it isn't God. It just means you cannot receive from it. You are able but not willing. We don't have to criticize what doesn't speak to us. We can support what ministers to us without knocking what doesn't. God is bigger than our minds can understand or imagine. That means there is more He has for us but we are unable to contain it. Isn't it awesome to know God is so big and so vast that He knows how to reach us all, right where our faith is. He isn't too complex or too simple. He is EXACTLY what we need when we need it. All we have to do is be WILLING to receive from Him.
Funny how life smacks you in the face with yourself. And it will smack you in the face with everything else. Both good and bad and at the same time too often. This last year I've said to myself more times than I can count, "But did you die? No? So shut the hell up. Buck up! Grow a damn vagina Carole! No one else is going to do it, you have to!" And somehow I make it through another day. The great benefit of being raised by a single mother and watching my sister live her life, balls to the wall is I KNOW I can rise to the occasion simply because I'm alive. I am in pain everyday in my heart and in my body. I have Frozen Shoulder. My entire left arm hurts all day every day pretty much. I'm in physical therapy which helps. Motrin helps. I have to take it before bed and get up and take it during the night. I'm left handed and it is of course my left arm. Washing my hair is difficult. I can't reach back to my bra strap with my left hand. The joy o
This week our Louisiana state senate was presented legislation that would allow both partners in a homosexual relationship to be named as a parent in an adoption of a child . pro-family and political Christian organizations were at the capital "fighting for traditional families" And they won, the law expansion was not approved. I'm all for free speech, fighting for what you believe in, so they have a right to speak out if they feel so led. I don't know every person that was at the capital fighting against this law expansion, but I do know many of them, and of the ones I know, NONE of them have ever adopted. I would hope they had at least funded an adoption, are part of a mentoring program for children in foster care or something that helps orphans, but I don't know if that's the case either. I do believe from over 25 years of being a part of many pro-life, pro-family political action groups, that most of the people who are in these groups have no adopted
It was a cool, starless, October 7th 1982. I was 15 years old and I was climbing back into my house through my bedroom window at 4am after a night of partying. It wasn't a low window but it wasn't super high up either. Kinda' mid way between the roof and the ground. It was a normal, mid sized window. I had flung my leg up onto the ledge, ducked my head into the open window pane just as the phone rang inside my house. I jerk lifted my head hitting it on the window, startled by the ringing of our phone in the formerly silent darkness of my house. What the?! Why was the phone ringing at 4am? Crap! Someone must be calling mom to tell on me! A neighbor? Crap! Maybe it's a cop who saw me cruising around town! I don't even remember who I was with that night or why I had sneaked out. I dove into the window, I heard mom running down the hall past my door, to the kitchen to answer the phone. I ran to my bed across the room and dove under the covers fully dres

How are the handlers imune from the devastating effects that wipe out everyone around them?
Why would somebody go up there to have their head shoved back and incur whiplash?
What are the karmic implications of that many gullible dupes gathered in one place?
What? No footage of the magic jacket in action?
Surely they could have done some better lip-synching.
