Captivating

A counselor that I work for, Denise Boothe, lent me a great book, "Captivating" by John and Stasi Eldridge (He wrote "wild at Heart"). I am only half way through but man is it a digger. So far it has dug up some not so pretty stuff, you know that stuff you bury and don't even realize it's there until you start diggin' it up? Denise said it would challenge me, and it sure has so far.

Someone I love dearly once said to me, "people don't change.." I think one of my life's ambitions is to show that we are always changing if we love Christ. We better be or we are in a rut. Thank God He digs us out of ruts and thank God he is willing to dig us out over and over again. I sure love Him.

George is in Houston getting scans and hearing his treatment options (see George Waites in side bar to visit his blog) So pray for him please. He needs a miracle.

I quit the Gap and I feel really good about it. You can only tend bar while being an alcoholic for so long before you start drinking again. My name is Carole and I am a clothes-aholic!
